Oh how we wish one of them was ours. Waiting excitedly and patiently for ours 😀🥂🍻 Danny McCarley

What a great spot Potters Gorge is, part of Wellington Dam and its surrounds.
So much history and just a great spot to kick back and relax or go exploring as we did and one spot we found was the old quarry where they got the rocks to build the dam wall.
We did put the kayaks in to go for a leisurely paddle which didn't go to well for me as I found a submerged tree stump and it did manage to upend me and the kayak causing huge amusement for the boss lady who couldn't get her phone out quick enough to film my demise.
Back to camp I go drenched, cold and hoping our fellow campers did not witness my lack of kayak skills.
We also managed to get photos of the moon leaving its trail across the water. ( and to my nasty kids who pick on me relentlessly, no that wasn't reflecting off my head).
The time had come to pack up and head for home so reluctantly we hook up and next stop was Martup Pool for lunch.
This spot is great for an overnight stop or just like we did get the chairs out put on a cd and enjoy the surrounds.
Martup Pool is just north of Beaufort River and when you first drive into the main area just off the road just follow one of the tracks and you will come across a great secluded spot on the banks of a pool.
Home now, van unpacked till next time.
Back to work tomorrow and start planning our next short trip away.

How did the Territory go towing the van. 😁

How’s the camp site. ✅

Well Dam.

As I mentioned in my last post we were going to a concert in Bunbury to see some great Aussie legends.
If you play the little clip you will get an idea of the talent that was there.
Have a close look and see how many legends you can spot.
It was one of the best I have been to.
The clip does not do them justice, when you are there the sound is vibrating up through the floor and really gets the blood pumping.
Packed up van and moved on to Potters Gorge in the Wellington Dam National Park.
Great spot, was very peaceful till we got here.
Lit fire got the nibbles out and next thing we were surrounded by 28s wanting there share.
Was a little fresh when we got here my sticky outy bits weren't coming out to play but all good now fire is going.
This is why we have a caravan, we can go where we like wether in a town or a National Park and have a Change of scenery to charge the batteries.
Time to crank up barby and refill boss ladies mug with wine or I will be in trouble.
Sorry couldn't get videos to upload.
